The 66-year-old coach recently appeared on FOX Sports' The Herd, during which host Colin Cowherd asked about Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs' performance in the early season, which has come under scrutiny by fans–despite a clean, four-game winning streak.

Patrick Mahomes admitted that he might be overthinking things this season. Andy Reid told "The Herd" he wants his QB to "keep firing."

The Chiefs went on to win their fourth game by a touchdown or less. Two of them, against Baltimore and Cincinnati, have been decided on the final play. And their win over the Falcons was wrapped up with a fourth down stand in the final minute. All while their star quarterback continues to work through a slump.
