Surprisingly quickly, we’ve reached the midpoint of the 2024 high school football season. The playoffs will be here before we know it – and maybe before we want them to be. In the meantime, here are 10 mid-season storylines in this year’s high school football season in Coastal Alabama.

After the threat of Hurricane Helene forced some games to be canceled a week ago, a full slate of high school football games are back. The CBS 42 Game of the Week will feature a 6A Region 5 showdown between the Gardendale Rockets (4-2) and the Homewood Patriots (5-1).

Four games between teams ranked in the On3 Massey Ratings Alabama top 25 are scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

The Alabama high school football season continues this week, as numerous teams are scheduled to play on Friday. Fans can watch every game online by getting a subscription to the NFHS Network. A monthly pass will cost $11.99 per month, while an annual pass will cost $79.99 for the entire year. Notably, the annual pass is equal to $6.67 per month.
