The Michigan High School Athletic Association is in its fourth year of using playoff point averages to determine the tournament field, with the top 32 teams earning postseason berths in Divisions 1-8, and the top 16 qualifying in 8-player Division 1 and Division 2.

WEST BRANCH, Mich. (WNEM) – A mid-Michigan coach is receiving a big-time honor. Ogemaw Heights head coach Chad Miller has been named the Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week for week five. This comes after he’s led the Falcons to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2007.
